Practice Test Question: SCSI drives

clipped from www.proprofs.com
29.
You install a SCSI 2 Ultra host adapter with 4 drives. After you bring up the system you notice that only 2 drives are detected. What is :the likely cause for this problem?

The hard drives have been configured with the same SCSI ID

Both drives have failed

The host adapter has failed

The devices were not terminated

- Explanation

Each device on a SCSI bus has to have its own unique SCSI ID or device conflicts will occur. The host adapter should be set to ID 7 and the boot device should be 0. Any mismatch in this configuration will lead to devices not being recognized.
